It so difficult to find the right vanity, they either look too cheap, or they are the wrong color or style or even just too expensive. I was looking to have a real piece of mid century furniture in this very stark master suite. I came across a small vintage side table that I loved the curved handles. I thought the style would work perfectly on a bigger piece (I love to play with the scale of objects). I did a few sketches, expanding on the inspiration I found and sent it over to the cabinet maker for an estimate. I decided to use walnut since I chose walnut floors on the second floor. A carrara marble top finishes the piece. The walnut vanity is paired perfectly with the Geberit bidet. The first floor guest bathroom is playful with wallpaper created from a Dalton Portella photography of Montauk Point. This bathroom accesses the outdoor shower for this family of surfers.
